Integrity policy
Vie et Milieu / Life & Environment adheres to the Core Principles developed by COPE : allegations of misconduct, authorship and contributorship, complaints and appeals, conflicts of interest and competing interests, data and reproducibility, ethical oversight, intellectual property, journal management, peer review processes, post-publication discussions and correction
Vie et Milieu asks authors, referees and editors to declare any conflicts of interest relating to publication. Referees or editors who have a proven conflict of interest that could influence their editorial decisions and practices will be excluded from the peer-review process for the article concerned.
Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is a breach of scientific integrity. The journal Vie et Milieu / Life & Environment uses CrossRef’s Similarity Check service to detect plagiarism in articles submitted for review.
The journal also asks authors whether they have used artificial intelligence as part of their research (see the dedicated section in the author guidelines) and prohibits its use by referees as part of the peer-review process.
In the event of proven misconduct (plagiarism, manipulation of data, undeclared conflicts of interest, etc.) detected after publication, the journal reserves the right to withdraw the article.
